Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Top Coat
Aww, these photo's were taken while I was on holidays in Spain, take me back please! I honestly love the warm weather, yet I live in Ireland ha. Oh the joys!
I bought the Sally Hansen top coat a good while back now, and I was supposed to do a review a lot sooner than this. I'm glad I didn't though as I've noticed a few differences in the top coat since then.
What does this top coat do?
"- Exclusive acrylic polymer complex dries any nail colour in 30 seconds.
- Nail colour stays true thanks to UV filters, which prevent fading, yellowing & discoloration caused by sunlight.
- Superior shine. "

Use thin layers of nail varnish and if you're applying two layers, give the first layer a chance to dry a bit before the second layer.
Wait your two minutes (longer if you wish, I usually left mine for as long as I could.) and then apply Sally Hansens Insta-Dri.
And as stated it is dry 'to the touch' within seconds, usually 30-45. (To the touch means you can touch it, but don't go washing your hair or grooming your dogs or making the dinner etc.)
Try to stay away from thick layers of polish as this will only add to drying time and will be a pain in the bum! It can also cause air bubbles and ain't nobody got time fo' air bubbles!
I found the second statement to be slightly untrue. I think that the top coat does in fact change the colour of my nail varnish, just ever so slightly - but it definitely does. Although this is from the top coat itself and not from the sunlight.
This never used to happen at the beginning so I'm wondering if it could be from other nail varnish getting into the bottle from the brush after I've used it. But I'm not sure. And anyways, it's a minor colour change so I'm definitely willing to ignore it.
Sally Hansen have claimed that this topcoat "helps resist chipping", which in my case, is definitely untrue. Don't worry though, this could just be my own fault. It could be down to what base coat I'm using or what I'm doing with my hands while I have my nails painted. This could definitely be different for everyone else.
I found that the top coat gave me a beautiful shine on my nails and it gave them a super glossy effect. There was no nail varnish shrinkage which is also a bonus!
I'm definitely not willing to give up my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri at it's amazing price value. It may chip a little here and there, but I don't mind. I'm willing to let that slide for the quick drying ability that it has.
Have you tried Sally Hansens Insta-Dri topcoat?
How did you get on with it?

This is one of my favorites! I've probably repurchased it around 4-5 times now!
