Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat Review

Sally HansenInsta-Dri Top Coat

Aww, these photo's were taken while I was on holidays in Spain, take me back please! I honestly love the warm weather, yet I live in Ireland ha. Oh the joys!

I bought the Sally Hansen top coat a good while back now, and I was supposed to do a review a lot sooner than this. I'm glad I didn't though as I've noticed a few differences in the top coat since then.

Beauty Haul | Boots

Beauty Haul
I was let loose in Boots on my recent shopping trip and we all know how that ends up... I feel like I got quite a lot of items for my money though! And mostly everything here is affordable on a low budget. I promise you that!

Please, please and please ignore the insane photography - I had no time to get a background ready so I just used the radiator! I've also just been given a white table from my Mam, so I'm delighted to be able to use this as a photography table! It'll save a hell of a lot of dodgy floor pictures in the future... Hehe!

Updated Beauty Wishlist

Beauty Wishlist

I've been waiting to try the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water since it first came out, but it's not in my local Boots yet (I've been fighting with myself about buying it online or not, but I suppose I can wait a few more weeks!). I'll be grabbing it as soon as I see it on the shelves! I can't wait to try it. I'm loving the fact that the bottle contains 200ml more than the L'Oréal Micellar Solution, which is the one I currently use and they're around the same price.

The Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate will be the first high-end addition to my skin care collection, which is growing bigger and bigger every week. Although, I will be trying samples of the midnight recovery concentrate before I splash the cash on a bottle of my own. I have never seen a bad word about this and I am soooo excited to try it for myself.

Soap & Glory's One Heck of a Blot. You can all thank the lovely Estée for this one! I've seen her rave about it in so many of her videos, and when is she ever wrong about good products?! I have a thing about powders, I just keep collecting them. It's no harm really though, right? I always need powder because I have oily skin so it's not a bad thing that I collect it!

The Soap & Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser came up on my screen while I was looking through their products on the Boots website. As always I was roped in to looking at every single S&G product on their site! I seen this and it reminded me of the First Aid Beauty product design. I've wanted a good alternative to the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser and this one looks like it might be good! It also comes with a muslin cloth.

Benefit's Hello Flawless foundation has been on my wishlist for a few weeks now. I love the packaging of the product, it honestly makes me want it more than I should. Is that normal, to want a product because of it's packaging? Well, that's one of the reasons I want this foundation. I obviously want it because I've seen great reviews about it and it always looks beautiful when you see the benefit girls putting it on their customers.

Lastly, I've been wanting/needing the infamous Tangle Teezer! My hair is really fine and that leads it to be full of tangles, all the time. Especially after washing my hair, even when I wake up in the mornings, or just after being outside in the windy weather. My hair is constantly tangled and it's growing quite long since I started using Lee Stafford's 'For Hair That Never Grows Past a Certain Length' products. I feel like I can't do anything to stop it from tangling and I feel like crying when I have to brush it after a shower! Not even kidding.
If any of you know anything that will help, please let me know in the comments. I'd love to hear any ideas you have!

*I just wanted to mention that I have recently reached ONE HUNDRED followers on bloglovin'! I was so surprised to log on and see this because I haven't been blogging much lately, and to see that people still follow my blog and support me, makes me beyond happy. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of my followers, new and old! It honestly means the world to me!*

Have you tried any of these products?

Empties #1

November Empties
L'Oréal - Tea Tree - Soap&Glory
St. Moriz - Radiance - Lemony Flutter

This is my first ever empties post and to be honest, I actually have way too many empties for just one post. I've had to take half of them out and use them in a future one. I had to get the photos taken as soon as I could because I had empty bottles and tubs everywhere and believe me, it wasn't very pretty.

The L'Oréal 3 in 1 Skin Purifying Micellar Solution is one of my new holy grail products. Although I haven't tried any other micellar waters, I don't think I would change. I'm just so used to this one. I've already repurchased this and I will be repurchasing it again! If you're interested, I did a review on it here
I've had the tea tree deep cleansing facial wash for over a year! It literally lasted me super long. I didn't use it a lot though, I only used it when I felt my skin needed it. I honestly found this a really good product and my face felt so nice and clean afterwards. There was two major downfalls though. Firstly, the product was quite watery, a bit too watery for a face mask. But it does dry in hard enough after a few minutes. Secondly, the top of the tube got disgustingly full of dried up product that the lid wouldn't even close, and it was so hard to clean off. I wouldn't repurchase this again.
Soap & Glory flake away body scrub. I know everybody loves this but I honestly didn't like it that much! It just didn't work for me personally. Maybe because I didn't use it every time I showered, but the times I did use it, it just didn't give me the results I was expecting. Maybe my expectations were too high. Unfortunately, I wouldn't repurchase this again in a hurry.

The St. Moriz self tan will always be my go-to tan for as long as it's around. It's cheap and it works just as well as any other tan. Of course there is better tan's on the market, but for the price of St. Moriz the quality is perfect. I've got about three half full bottles around the house, but I'll still repurchase it again, and again, and again!
Radiance by Britney Spears was one of my first ever perfumes. My Mum bought it for me as a gift a few years back and I loved it. I've since received another bottle but I don't wear it as much any more. I wouldn't buy this for myself, but I wouldn't mind receiving it all the same!
I bought the infamous Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter at the start of my college year, last year. I did a review of it here. (Old posts like this make me cringe, but we all started somewhere, hey?) I loved it from the moment I started using it. I forgot all about it a few months after buying it and I only found it a while ago - out of date. It's such a shame because I still want to use this, but I can't. Sad times! I don't know if I'd repurchase it again because it's quite pricey for the little tub, but it does work wonders.

So there you have it! Six of my current empties. I want to try do an 'Empties' regularly, depending on what empties I have and when I have them. Hopefully these kinds of posts are interesting to read! I personally love reading other peoples empties. I get to see which products they thought were good and bad and what they would buy again. Hopefully you can take some information from this post for yourself.

Have you tried any of these before?
What's on your empties list?

Would You Rather | Beauty Edition

Photo source: IndianVanityCase | Edited by me

I was in need of a new post as I'm still waiting to go shopping and get my last few bits and bobs for holiday haul, I'm dying to get it up for you all! Anyways, I found this one on Kayleigh's blog I thought it would be a great tag to do. This tag is originally from YouTube, but Kayleigh hasn't gotten around to making YouTube videos yet and neither have I, so she made a blog post out of it & I think it's the perfect tag to do!

Spending Ban | UPDATE!

I haven't updated you all on my spending ban progress in a month! So I thought I'd do a quick little rambling blog post for you guys!

March 24, 2013

Spending Ban!

Shocker! It's time to go on a spending ban. I'm off on holidays with a few friends in June and really need to start saving up for that. I'm planning to have at least €500 - €700 by the time I'm leaving. Because I can't really go on a holiday with no money, can I?

Long Time No Blog!

Hey everyone!

I haven't blogged in quite some time, as you have probably noticed..... My last blog post was at the start of December, it's now March!
Reason being is my whole laptop was infected with a big, horrible, dirty virus! Some guy literally took over my laptop and got into all my accounts, (facebook, twitter, tumblr. etc.)

Update on where I've been & what's going on!

Hey guys!
Yeah, this is me ^, right now, waving and dancing for you ha ha!

I haven't blogged in over a week now and to be honest, I haven't had time. I've started a hairdressing course and even though my hours aren't much, the travelling takes up most of my time. I leave the house at 8 in the morning and don't get home 'til 11 some nights! It's seriously wearing me out and I'm sleeping so much when I'm home. I'm really enjoying it though so I don't mind. I'm planning a few blog posts at the moment, but when they'll be up.. I really don't know. I'll most definitely try and get loads done the weekend and queue them.

Also, I've been busy making a BIG wishlist page! Whenever I come on blogger and don't blog, I update my wishlist page. On that page, you'll find things I want. So far I have the categories makeup, skincare, nail varnish and clothes! Heh ^-^
Don't worry if you can't see it, no one can. It's not published yet. I don't want to publish it when it's only half-arsed done.

Oh, I almost forgot.. I'm still reading your blogs! Just 'cause I ain't posting doesn't mean I ain't reading! Your posts are what's helping me make my huge/far too long wishlist!

Again I'd like to say I'm sorry and I will try and get some posts up soon. For now though, feel free to contact me on Twitter @LeanneBroderick. I'm on there daily, even if I don't tweet daily! Just sayin' ;).

Thanks for reading,

A Site You Need To Check Out!

Hi everyone! I hope you're all well!

I bought an o2 money card the other day as I have no VISA card and I thought that it would be a great investment! It was, I put 50 euro on it at the time and now I have around a tenner left. Ooops! I spent 30+ euro on nail art supplies from this site.

If you love nail art then this is the site for you, especially if you live in the UK. The prices are amazing! I haven't tried any products yet but I will be doing a haul as soon as I get them which hopefully is soon, and obviously I will let you know if I found them good or not. I've heard only good about this site though to be honest! They have a deal of the day, every day. They usually have offers on and stuff too! Such as free shipping on orders. I promise, you won't be let down with this site, just try it. It only takes a few minutes of your time!

click the picture above to visit the site too!

This was a very random post, I know! But I just thought you should see this for yourselves and see what ya think!  Let me know if you're going to try it & how you got on! I will definitely be updating you all soon!

Lots of love,

This Or That Tag!

Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing great!
The truth is, I've been finishing my fashion haul post for about a week now and if I'm honest, it just isn't working for me. I've decided to start all over! It's kind of annoying as I spent such a long time on it! But I'll get there with the new one. I hope you guys don't mind the wait.
I thought, seeing as I was bummed off trying to fix the other post, I'd browse through blogs for a while. Then when I was on Louise's blog and found this tag & I just had to do it! So here goes nothing!

Make Up

Blush or Bronzer?
Bronzer.

Lipgloss or Lipstick?
Lipstick, lipgloss just likes to rob the hair from my head so I don't bother with it.

Chapstick or Lip Butter?
Chapstick.

Matte or Sparkle Eye Shadow?
Matte and sparkle, sparkle for special events!

Eye Liner or Mascara?
Mascara, eyeliner prefers to be on my cheeks rather than my eyes.

Gel, Liquid or Cream Eye Liner?
Definitely gel, it's the only one that I can manage to put on properly & it doesn't smudge!

Foundation or Concealer?
Concealer, because not all foundations cover blemishes whereas concealers do!

Liquid or Powder Foundation?
Liquid, I've never used powder.

Neutral or Colour Eye Shadow?
Neutral and earth tones. I haven't really experimented much with eye shadow so neutral for now!

Pressed or Loose Eye Shadow?
I can't pick! Both are great, though I think pressed.

Waterproof or Non Waterproof?
Non waterproof for normal days, but obviously waterproof if I'm swimming or something!

Brushes or Sponges?
Brushes. I can't use sponges at all!

Powder Highlighter, Cream or Liquid?
I don't actually use highlighter so I couldn't pick one.

Nails

OPI or Essie?
Never tried Essie, so OPI.

Acrylic or Natural?
I love acrylics but I'd rather them be real, so half and half?

Brights or Darks?
Definitely brights.

Matte or Shiny?
Shiny. Usually if it's matte I'd use a shiny top coat! Unless I was doing nail art.

Glitter or No Glitter?
I love glitter, so yes! For most colours anyways.

Body

Perfume or Body Splash?
Perfume.

Lotion or Body Butter?
Lotions are so much handier, but I love body butters!

Body Wash or Soap?
Body wash.

Self Tanners or Natural?
I wish I was tanned naturally! So self tanners. Though I hate streaks or blotches!

I enjoyed doing this quick little tag and I hope you enjoyed reading it! If you want to do it go ahead! Leave me a comment below if you do, I would love to read your answers too!

Two Week Nail Growth Project

Hello everyone! I hope you're all well!
It's been two weeks now since I started my two week nail growth project and I said I'd show you all how I got on. I have tiny nails, but when they grow long they eventually go the way I want them to. And if I'm completely honest, not all of my nails are the way I want them to be but I know if I give them a few more weeks they'll be okay. Hopefully I can keep them strong for a month or so!
Anyways here's how I got on...

Day 1-L&R
As you can see, they aren't in the best of form! And please do excuse the nail varnish on my nails through-out the pictures. It was to help me stop picking at them because they were weak enough as it was.

Day 2-L&R

Day 3-L&R

Day 4-L&R

Day 5 L&R

Day 6-L&R

Day 7-L&R

Day 8-L&R

Day 9
Unfortunately, I missed day 9!

Day 10-L&R

Day 11-L&R
Sorry the lighting is so bad in this, it was time for bed and I had almost forgotten to take it altogether!

Day 12
I also missed day 12, I don't know how I managed this at all, I really don't.

Day 13-L&R

Day 14-L&R

So that was my nail growth over two weeks, this actually includes some filing down on some nails too! Some nails haven't grown as much as I wanted them to but they can only grow at their own speed. This just goes to show that in just two weeks your nails can grow a good bit!

I might blog about this again in a few weeks and show you how I've shaped them and fixed them up, but for now I'm going to focus on keeping them strong so they don't break again!

I know some people said they were going to try this out, and I think that's great! Make sure you comment and let me know how you got on or if you're going to try this now.

Thanks a mil for reading!
Lots of love,
