London Beauty Haul

I finally visited London for the very first time in August just gone. I actually went over for 'Summer in The City'. Since being there I can tell you, I seriously love London. It's one of my new favourite places! But.. I couldn't visit London without going shopping and buying some makeup and the likes in Superdrug, Boots and Lush could I? I had never been to Superdrug in my entire life and I was super excited to go and see what it was like! I can safely say I've been missing out. BIG TIME!

I picked up my first ever Sleek products. The i-Divine Au Naturel palette, the Face Contour Kit in Light, a Blush in Pixie Pink and a True Colour Matte Lipstick in Papaya Punch. I have been using Sleek's Au Naturel palette every time I do my makeup. It's amazing and the colours are perfect for every day use. I even use one of the browns in it for my brows. I use the contour kit every time too, it's perfect for my skin tone and I'm addicted to contouring and highlighting my face.

I also picked up my first ever MUA products, believe it or not! I only got two things because in the three Superdrug shops I was in, they were sold out in almost everything that I wanted. I got the Heaven and Earth palette and one of their infamous £1 lipsticks in the shade 13. I definitely want to try more MUA products because for the price of them, you can't go too wrong.

I honestly can't remember whether I picked up my Maybelline products in Boots or Superdrug. Let's just say Boots were having a 3 for 1 offer and that's where I got them, I think. Anyways I picked up one of my all time favourite mascaras Volum' Express The Falsies. I absolutely love this mascara and always find myself going back to it. I also picked up my second Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe which I reviewed here. Lastly from Maybelline I got one of their ColorSensational Lipsticks in 422 Coral Tonic.

I had to get a Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Red Dynamite. I have loads of red lipsticks and I had no red lip liner. Shocker! So I had to pick this one up.

I couldn't walk past Lush when I smelled all the lovely scents coming out, who can walk past that?! I always get drawn in haha. Anyways my friend was picking up this Lush Lip Scrub in the flavour Mint Julips and she told me she heard that it was really good, so we both bought it and it'd only be fair to say, she was right! Mint Julips, Mmmm.

In the airport on the way home I came across the MAC counter and when I seen the MAC 217 blending brush was only £14/£15 I just had to have it. I love this brush and I definitely needed it in my collection!

Have you tried any of these products before?
Any recommendations on what to get if I ever get to go Superdrug again?

Most of the links bring you to the product on their actual websites. Most of the things I got you can get in Superdrug and Boots apart from the MAC brush and the Lush lip scrub!

Maybelline | Colour Tattoos 24hr

The first Maybelline Color Tattoo I ever purchased was only in July just gone and it was in the shade 'On and on Bronze'. Needless to say I fell in love straight away. I then bought 'Permanent Taupe' whilst I was over in London in August. I could never find it over here in Ireland and I had wanted it since I picked up my first one. (Just a side note, I used to always and as a matter of fact still do, call 'Permanent Taupe', 'Peppermint Taupe'. I do not know why or where this came from. I guess it's just a habit now though haha!).

Let me start by saying that for a drugstore crème eyeshadow, these color tattoos are fantastic. They say they last 24 hours, but honestly I never have my makeup on for 24 hours so I don't think I'll ever know if that's true. But the staying power for a couple of hours is excellent. These never rub off on my eyes, never crease or never smudge once applied.

The best thing about them is that you can use them as a base or you can use them on their own if you're feeling lazy. Either way, they look gorgeous! The texture of them is super, you can apply them with your finger all over your eye and if you wanted you could use a brush to blend them out. So you definitely can't go wrong and I'd strongly recommend you give these a try!

Have you any of the Maybelline Color Tattoos?

(L-R: Essence - #125 Absolutely Blue | Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine - Blueberry | Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - #16 Blue It | Barry M Limited Retro Edition - Purple Tainted Love)

(L-R: Rimmel 60 Seconds - #610 Pompous | Flormar - #323 | Flormar #352 | Flormar - #228 |
Barry M - Raspberry)

As you can see, I couldn't just pick 'a few' nail polishes, I had to go all out and pick thirteen. I suppose it's okay to have a lot though, it's better than none haha!

Personally I love when the Autumn time comes around, because I love being able to wear darker colours on my nails. I decided that this year I needed some deep, dark colours - dark reds, dark purples and navy blues. Alongside your metallics and glittery gold of course! I also decided that I wanted some muted, toned down colours too! I just couldn't help myself. *Sigh*.

I hope this post gave you some ideas as to what kind of colours you might like for the Autumn/Winter months! I hope these pictures did the colours justice, because I took about fifty and had to break it down to these few.

What colours are on your Autumn/Winter nail polish list?
If you have any questions about any of the colours or where to find them, let me know!

Thanks so much for reading!

L'Oréal | Skin Perfection | 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution Review

The hype for micellar waters going around is crazy, ever since Bioderma showed its face! Every beauty blogger/guru and their mothers have one at this stage! I know I'm a bit behind on the bandwagon with this review, but I left it a while to do this one as I wanted to test it out and see if it was actually any good.

October Wishlist

It's that time of the month again and I've a list the length of my arm full of beauty items that I want. A girl can wish, but can't always afford hey! *Sob* I've been keeping lists of things I want the past month and I would love to put them all in one big wishlist, but it'd be too much! So I've picked a handful of products to put into this post. I hope you see something that takes your fancy!

1.Urban Decay | Naked Basics Palette
I've wanted one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes for as long as I can remember, but I can't afford one being on a crappy budget. So the naked basics palette seems to be the easiest way out for me, and the shades are perfect. You can go quite plain and neutral or you can go smokey with the colours that are in it. This would be perfect for travelling, which I do a lot of lately!

2. Real Techniques | Powder Brush
I've built up quite a big collection of Real Techniques brushes over the last two years. I've been on the hunt for a good powder brush because the one I have has gone a bit too shabby to be honest. When I seen the Real Techniques one I decided I have to get it!

3. Real Techniques | Blush Brush
I know this is a 'blush brush', but I actually want to get this and try it out as another powder brush! It's so big and fluffy, I think it'd be perfect for powder. I don't wear a lot of blush so I don't think this one would ever be an actual blush brush for me. Although, never say never!

4. Lee Stafford | Treatment For Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length
What can I even say? I've wanted this treatment for so long and I've not bought it yet! Why not, Leanne?! The next time Boots have their '3 for 2' offer back on the Lee Stafford range, I'm going to be all over this. I've gone beyond wanting it now. I've seen far too many good reviews to pass it by again.

5. Benefit | They're Real Mascara
I'm all for my Maybelline Falsies and I've never really ventured out very far with mascaras. I have seen so many reviews about this mascara and the hype amongst the beauty blogger world has been absolutely crazy, I think I've definitely been persuaded enough to get it!

6. NYX | Jumbo Eye Pencil | 604 Milk
I think everyone needs a NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in the shade Milk. It's the perfect product for making bright eyeshadows pop or any colour for that matter. Coming up to Halloween I think this would be a great purchase!

7. Hydraluron | Moisture Booster
I've generally quite oily to combination skin, but I went for a facial a while back and they told me that my skin was oily in areas but also really dehydrated in those areas. Which shocked me, because I moisturise all the time! Since then, I've stopped using harsh products on my face, even in oily areas. I wanted something to boost my skin and give it plenty of hydration, so when I seen a few reviews about this I decided this will be one of the products I'm going to go for!

What's on your wishlist this month? Do any of these products take your fancy?
Have you got any of these already?

Tartan Is Back!

I'm super glad that tartan is back! I've always had a soft spot for tartan/plaid clothes, well... Most tartan clothes! I've done a bit of browsing to see which celebs have been wearing tartan and how they're styling it. While doing this, I decided I'd write me a little blog post! It's only something small to get me back into the swing of things because I haven't blogged for a few months. Unfortunately I could sit here and explain all sorts of reasons why I didn't blog, but I'm not going to bore you and bring back memories!

Anyways let's get cracking and see which celebs are pulling off the tartan trend this season!
