Fashion Wishlist

Seeing as I haven't blogged about fashion yet, I decided to do a wishlist as my first fashion post! I just picked out some random bits and bobs from my favourite site boohoo, where I love to shop.
I hope you like them!

Minnie Sleeveless Bow Detail Fit And Flare Dress (€15)
As soon as I saw this dress it stood out miles. The colour is so pretty and the little bow really breaks the dress up. I love the way the dress is tight fitting at the top and then flowy at the bottom. I think you have a big choice of things you can wear with this dress, such as blazers and cardigans and different types of shoes. Though as choice of accessories, not so much as the bow itself is like an accessory.
What do you think?

Lucy "Oui Moustache" Drop Arm Vest (€12)
These mustaches are just brill, I love them! They're totally adorable! Swingy tops are also a new trend, in my eyes anyways! I think you can pretty much wear them with anything you want. I love these tops especially on a 'fat day', where you just don't feel your best. Just throw one of these on you! I think they're great for warm weather, they don't cling to you and well... you can't get sweat patches, can you? ;)

Wendy Striped Chiffon Blazer (€20)

I was looking through blazers as I'm in desperate need of a new one. I think they're so versatile and you get so much wear out of them! This one caught my eye immediately. I'm loving stripes these days. I love the fact its got no buttons as I usually wear my blazers open anyways, I think I look ridiculous with them closed. (Don't judge me!)

Blaire Chiffon Collar Slouch Blazer (€24)
I also seen this whilst looking through the blazers section. The colour caught my eye straight away, this colour always does! I don't know why but even when I walk in to a shop, my eyes automatically scan the room for this colour. *Rambling*. Anyways, I think the design of this blazer is amazing! I love the shape of it and all the ruffles add to it so much. The way it's longer at the sides and short at the front is gorgeous!

Olivia Bird Print Shorts (€14)

I fell in love with these shorts when I seen them. The bird pattern is trés cute! I have so many ideas in my head of what I could wear these with. And for just 14 euro? What a bargain!

Ella Black Diamante Suedette Platform Heels (€45)
Personally, I know I'll never buy these. Well not until I can afford them! That's why they're on this wishlist. I'll wish for them, haha. The little bow on the front of these is stunning and the heel itself is gorgeous. The fact they're black is also a great advantage for me.
Who else wears black heels constantly?

Amarah Beige Platform Bow Front Heels (€40)
I love these heels! I seem to be interested in bows a lot too! These are just beautiful, even the colour. I think it's fab! The bow on the front may be a bit too much for some people, but I think it adds to the shoe and without it, it would just be a normal heel! Though in fairness I'd still wear them without the bows. At 40 euro, it's probably cheap for some people, but not for me as I don't even work yet. So I'd probably have to pass on these! Boo.

Danika Red Suedette Cut Away Wedge (€50)
While on the topic of shoes, I just thought I'd get your opinions on these type of heels. I think they're mad! But they are gorgeous and definitely eye catching!
How do people walk in these?
I think if I tried, I'd break my neck, honestly! Let me know what you guys know or think about these cut aways! I'd love to know what they're like and if anyone has tried them before!

If you're reading this now, thanks for reading through this! It was probably crap, but hey.. what are you guys for? Telling me if it really was crap or not haha. This is my first time having a go at fashion blogging. I'm thinking of making a full outfit for you guys soon, and I have a lot of plans on new fashion posts to come. But first, let's see how I got on with this one!

I'd love to hear your opinions on these items and what you thought of this post too! Do you agree or disagree with any of the above statements? Let me know! I love reading your comments! :)

My Wishlist

I've been wanting a lot of products lately so I decided to make a post on some of them. I wish I could win the lotto and just buy them all! This list ranges from makeup products, to nail polish, to skincare products.

MAC | Lady Danger Lipstick. (Around €18)

The colour of this lipstick is just amazing! I love its brightness. It's definitely on my wishlist this summer.
Bobbi Brown | Basic Brush Collection. (Around €140)

I've really been needing a basic brush kit, as I have brushes all over the place in my house. I don't think I'd spend this much money on a brush set, not yet anyways. Does anyone know any cheaper sets you can get, with good quality?

Models Own | Coral Reef. (Around €4)

I've never tried Models Own nail polish, and I really am keen to. I loved this colour straight away and I'm definitely going to get it this summer.

Models Own | Ibiza Mix - Hed Kandi! (€4)

I love this glitter polish from models own too, and am dying to try it on top of loads of different colours!

Topshop | Nails In Easy Breezy. (Around €6)

I've heard many great reviews about Topshop's nail polish, and when I scanned through their site the first colour I was attracted to was this one. It's a summery colour and I'm going to have to try this soon!

Sleek | Storm I-Divine Palette. (€8)

I really only wear neutral tones on my eyes as I'm not a big eye shadow fan. So this would be the best palette for me. I am dying to experiment and this palette for just €8 is a bargain!

LUSH | BB Seaweed Face Mask. (Around €7)

I've seen great reviews about this product and I am curious to try it myself. I want to know does it live up to the reviews. I love lush products and I'm really hoping to try this soon!

So this is just a small list of products I want to try. I'm going to try do a wishlist maybe once or twice a month, just to see what products you guys think I should avoid and ones I should definitely try out.
What do you think of that idea?
What's on your wishlist this month?
Have you tried any of these products?

ASOS £100 Challenge

When I seen this competition I was more about making an outfit with a certain amount of money rather than winning £100, although it would be nice!
I thought this challenge would be easy, but believe me.. it was far from! It was great fun though and I really enjoyed it.

Here's what I came up with in the end..

All the bright colours, I am totally in love with these days so this dress for £35 was a bargain! The bow earrings and ring are so cute, I am definitely buying these! The mustache necklace, OH MY GOSH. I so want this! It's trĂ©s moi! That means very me. I think - think, after 6 years of doing french in school?! Clutch bags are in, and when I seen this one I just thought the colour fitted perfectly with the dress! The boots I chose were wedges as these are my new best friends on a night out. Throw the high heels in the bin ladies, wedges are in! They're so comfy and I just love them, I picked these ones because they go with the belt on the dress. I love this look and would really consider buying it myself!

I know the picture's a bit all over the place, but me and 'photoshop' aren't friends! I have no idea how to use it haha. I probably could have used something else, but after spending hours looking for a while outfit using just £100, I just wanted to get it done!

Any how, I managed to do it! Using just under £100. Altogether it costs just £96. SCORE!

Here's what I picked:

Nail art accessories & nail polishes I regret buying.

I am a complete impulse buyer when it comes to buying nail polish. I see a colour that I like and I pick up five extras along with it. I just can't help myself! I love painting my nails and I hate them being bare. I also love nail art, so I buy an endless list of accessories for  decorating my nails. I end up buying way too much and it ends up in the back of my drawer somewhere. In all fairness, most of the nail polishes I have are brilliant and there's only a very, little few that I regret buying. It's quite a long post, so grab your bag of popcorn and take your time! :)

Nail Art - Saffron #04 (Pink) & #06 (Green)

I bought two of these nail art polishes in a shop in Dublin called 'La Chica', in the Ilac Centre.

It's a fabulous shop, with discounted beauty items, a lot cheaper than the exact same products in Boots or other drugstores.
Anyways the reason I don't like these nail art polishes, is because they are very transparent over some base colours, which is really annoying because the brushes on them are so long, (which is also annoying), you can't go over the same line again. Not perfectly anyways. It also strips the nail polish from underneath off. If you chip the nail art polish, that will come off but so will the base colour.
They were only €2 though, so it wasn't too bad. I'm sure I'll get some use out of these!

La Femme Beauty Nail Varnish #132 Ultra Pink

Yes, these two nail polishes were the same colour at one stage! The left one was in a box, which I thought was an okay place to leave your nail polish. Am I wrong? Is it bad to leave it in boxes? Yet the one to the right has also faded quite a lot. But anyways this nail polish is so thick! It takes ages to dry, from what I can remember because I ain't risking putting it on my nails and having it drip all over the place. I used to love the colours because I was fascinated with bright pinks. They also have a really strong smell compared to other nail polishes.
I actually bought these in Spain for €3 each. I'm glad I didn't pay much more for them or I would have been very disappointed. Anyways, seeing as it was in Spain, if you go there and see lots of nail polishes beware of La Femme!

Claires Superspeed Nail Polish (Black) & YES L♥VE #181

So I don't know the Claires nail polish number as this bottle actually exploded on me, but it's the only black one so you should be able to find it. I was so annoyed! It went over lots of my nail polishes and as you can see, the gone off pink above was affected by this! Haha. The brush design is ridiculous, it's way too big and the shape makes it hard to paint near your cuticles. It also takes a very, very long time to dry. You need two coats of it as well as it leaves sort of, I would say streaks, on your nails.
The second one, on the right, is a great nail polish and the only reason I regret buying it is because of the colour.
It's my own fault for not checking what colour it was at the time, I seen it and straight away thought it was a black colour. It does look black, doesn't it? >>
But don't be fooled by #181. It's navy. Not black at all!
I really can't remember the price of these polishes but I would say around the €3 mark.

Hairspray's Nail Polish #S156

I love this nail polish colour, from the bottle. But it is definitely not that colour on your nails. It's literally like water when you put it on. I don't know how many coats I used until I got it opaque. Even then it was just too thick and disgusting. Which is really annoying because I really adore this colour. It's so pretty and girly! As is the bottle, is small and cute and the font is pretty and the butterfly, aww!
I'm really annoyed over this nail polish as I was so excited to try it and wear it but it won't be happening I'm afraid.
I think this was also around the €3 mark!
I might try some different colours in the future,. I do hope it's only this colour that is so watery. But as of now I don't think this polish is for me.

Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails - Xtreme Wear #21 White On

I have always wanted a proper white nail polish, and I thought Sally Hansen would be the one! Unfortunately, it wasn't. It is white and very white at that. The only problem I found with this nail polish is that, while on your nails, it turns yellow after a while! Even with a top coat. I don't know how. Maybe when it dries in it just isn't as white as it was when it was wet? I really don't know. But I was so disappointed with this polish. I really wanted to do some designs but I don't want a gone of white as a base colour. It's also gotten a bit thick over the weeks and harder to apply than other polishes from this brand. I think this was €5.
Does anyone know any good white polishes I can try out?

Essence - Nail Art Magnetics #01 Miracle Shine & the magnet

While on holidays I seen two Essence stands. Yes, two! One was full of make up and the other nail polishes and nail art accessories. I heard a lot a people ranting and raving about the new magnetic nail polishes and I just had to try it for myself. The magnet was around €3 and the polish was around €2.
I was so excited to try this out! But, I was very let down with this product. The nail polish itself is a beautiful colour so that's not too bad. But that magnet and the little magnetic things in the polish, just don't work!
I'm warning you not to buy this as it's brutal & I also found that the little faint lines that it did make, faded after a few seconds to basically nothing.
My friend bought a magnetic nail polish in 'La Chica', the magnet was included in the box & it was around €6 but I have to say, I tried hers and it was amazing compared to this.

Essence - Nail Art - Stampy Set.

I also bought the nail art stamper and at first when I tried this, I thought it was great.. but I realized after the first few goes it wasn't working and I was imagining things. They recommend that you buy the stamp art polish to go with this but I never did. I wish I did though just to try it out and see if it really helps. I will try find it in the future and re-try this stamper set.
Have you tried this before, did it work?

So that was quite a long post and if you're reading this now, thanks a million for reading it all! Let me know if you've tried any of these polishes and how you got on with them!
Also let me know if you want some pictures of these polishes tried out on my nails or anything of the sort. Leave any comments, suggestions or questions below! x

Tesco Cucumber Face Scrub

I was in Tesco the weekend and I've been really into exfoliating my skin lately. So when I seen this product for just 99c, I had to pick it up. Who wouldn't?

I wasn't too satisfied with the product to be honest. It didn't smell like cucumber and it definitely isn't a 'scrub'. The beads end up one at your forehead, one on your chin.. and maybe one on your nose if you're lucky! I did use it though. It works, just not as well as other brands, that are about €5-15. But what can you expect for a euro?

I'd give this product a good 5/10, mostly for it's price.

What do you think? Have you tried this scrub before? Would you recommend it to others? What's your favourite facial scrub?

Batiste Dry Shampoo

This new range of 'Batiste Dry Shampoo' is getting fairly popular and I must admit, I've been converted to not washing my hair, ever! Living off dry shampoo forever. Just joking, but I do use this the day after I wash my hair and sometimes even the night I wash my hair - If I'm going out.

Currently, I only own two of these 'magic in a tin' bottle's! The two I own are the 'big & bouncy XXL volume' and the 'coconut & exotic tropical'. I have two of the XXL's and one of the tropical.

"Why the hell did you buy three of them?!", you ask? Well because in Boots they had a '3 for 2' offer on. They were around €5 each and I paid just €10 for three large bottles, bargain! The smaller tins are usually only around €2, which I think is brilliant, if you're low on dosh you can buy a smaller one until you can afford the bigger one, it's also good for you to try them out before spending too much on them. There is a medium tin too but I don't know what price that is as they didn't have it in my local Boots store.

The first one is 'XXL volume'.
I absolutely love this product. It 'does exactly what it says on the tin', and for me it's a dream come true! My hair is so flat and boring most of the time as it's so thin. This really, really gives your hair a bounce and is especially good if you have a fringe and you don't want it stuck to your face with super glue or something.. A little spray of this and your hair literally lifts up. When I bought it, I was a bit apprehensive and thought, "Pft, it'll never work". So when I got home and tried it, I was over the moon with it and chuffed that I bought it in the end.

The product is nearly transparent white when you spray it, but just keep it a few centimeters away from your hair and it won't be as opaque, you need to rub it in correctly too. You don't want white patches like deodorant stains on your head, do you? As soon as you rub it in, your hair just, what would you say.. 'POOFS'. It is amazing!

The only disadvantage of this product, and I find this with any dry shampoo. It leaves your hair feeling a bit grubby and dirty the next day, or even just a while later. Which is totally fine as you're most likely going to wash it, aren't you?

Overall I'd give this beauty a high 8/10.

The second one is 'tropical'.

I love this one too, the smell is absolutely divine! It's coconuty (obviously), and if you like a super fresh coconut smell, you are bound to love this. I was completely hooked after my first sniff of it and I could not be any more happier to have my hair smelling of fresh coconuts!

This product also volumizes your hair and adds a great texture, but is also a white spray, so be careful and avoid those unwanted deodorant stains on your hair!!

I'd give this product a 9/10, it gets an extra point for it's fab scent.

What do you think? What kind of dry shampoo do you use?
