Batiste Dry Shampoo

This new range of 'Batiste Dry Shampoo' is getting fairly popular and I must admit, I've been converted to not washing my hair, ever! Living off dry shampoo forever. Just joking, but I do use this the day after I wash my hair and sometimes even the night I wash my hair - If I'm going out.

Currently, I only own two of these 'magic in a tin' bottle's! The two I own are the 'big & bouncy XXL volume' and the 'coconut & exotic tropical'. I have two of the XXL's and one of the tropical.

"Why the hell did you buy three of them?!", you ask? Well because in Boots they had a '3 for 2' offer on. They were around €5 each and I paid just €10 for three large bottles, bargain! The smaller tins are usually only around €2, which I think is brilliant, if you're low on dosh you can buy a smaller one until you can afford the bigger one, it's also good for you to try them out before spending too much on them. There is a medium tin too but I don't know what price that is as they didn't have it in my local Boots store.

The first one is 'XXL volume'.
I absolutely love this product. It 'does exactly what it says on the tin', and for me it's a dream come true! My hair is so flat and boring most of the time as it's so thin. This really, really gives your hair a bounce and is especially good if you have a fringe and you don't want it stuck to your face with super glue or something.. A little spray of this and your hair literally lifts up. When I bought it, I was a bit apprehensive and thought, "Pft, it'll never work". So when I got home and tried it, I was over the moon with it and chuffed that I bought it in the end.

The product is nearly transparent white when you spray it, but just keep it a few centimeters away from your hair and it won't be as opaque, you need to rub it in correctly too. You don't want white patches like deodorant stains on your head, do you? As soon as you rub it in, your hair just, what would you say.. 'POOFS'. It is amazing!

The only disadvantage of this product, and I find this with any dry shampoo. It leaves your hair feeling a bit grubby and dirty the next day, or even just a while later. Which is totally fine as you're most likely going to wash it, aren't you?

Overall I'd give this beauty a high 8/10.

The second one is 'tropical'.

I love this one too, the smell is absolutely divine! It's coconuty (obviously), and if you like a super fresh coconut smell, you are bound to love this. I was completely hooked after my first sniff of it and I could not be any more happier to have my hair smelling of fresh coconuts!

This product also volumizes your hair and adds a great texture, but is also a white spray, so be careful and avoid those unwanted deodorant stains on your hair!!

I'd give this product a 9/10, it gets an extra point for it's fab scent.

What do you think? What kind of dry shampoo do you use?

  2. I had tried Bastie dry shampoos before, but I didn't like them as they kept on leaving my hair greasy. I really want to try out XXL one, as my hair don't have any volume at all. I normally always use Tresemme dry shampoo it is more expensive but so much better. x

    1. Yeah they leave my hair greasy as well the next day & that really annoys me. The only thing with the XXL is it leaves your hair a little bit greasier than the others. Oh I must try the Tresemme one! x

  3. I love the smell of the tropical one, yum! I used to avoid batiste/dry shampoo in general as they used to make my roots look grey, and the brown tinted ones were never the right colour, but as my hair is slowly getting blonder I might have to start again, any excuse to be lazy and avoid washing my hair for another day!xxx

  4. I just bought a dry shampoo called "girlz only" (terrible name, but apparently good product) for $1.40 Australian, which is super cheap and I'm keen to try it out!
