Boots Traditional Skin Care - Glycerin & Rosewater Toner Review!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm going to share with you, what I thought of the ranted and raved about Boots Toner! After a long time trialing this product I've been asked to do a review! I was going to do this ages ago I just never got around to it. I've been really naughty at blogging the past few months and I just haven't blogged much all. So I hope this is enough for you guys to forgive me, hehe.

I have to be honest and say I had mixed feelings about this product..

Pros:

  • I love the smell of it, the rosewater scent is gorgeous although very overpowering.
  • It really does moisturise your skin and leaves it feeling maybe a bit, too moisturised.
  • It's cheap!
  • It does what it's supposed to do.
  • It's great for around the eyes and it doesn't sting them. So you can use it as an eye makeup remover.

Cons:
  • When I first used it, my face went red and itchy but the second time I used it, it was grand.
  • I find it leaves my face feeling and looking greasy and sticky. I've tried to keep using it as much as I can to see if maybe it was just my skin, but also got a few friends to try it and they've had the same problem. I mean, isn't toner supposed to be watery? So I would generally just use this at night time, but definitely not before my makeup application.
  • I think this would be better for dry skin, which I don't have.

Being honest, I doubt I will buy this again unless I'm overly broke! I'm thinking I might try out the No7 toner next or even the simple one!

Let me know if you know of any other good toners, that aren't too greasy but still work great!

Thanks for reading!
Love,

  2. It's a shame it leaves a greasy residue I'm also not sure I'd be a fan of the smell, I don't like using products that have a strong smell on my face!

  3. I would've probably tossed it after it left my face red! Rosewater is awesome for the skin though.

    1. I thought I would give it a second chance, and it was fine from then on. Yeah that was one of the main reasons I bought this, but oh well. I guess everything is different for everyone.

  5. I have been using this product for the past four years, yes I agree it is a bit greasy so I use it of a night leaving my face in the morning fully hydrated and soft. I have also noticed the reduced wrinkles on my face and would recommend this product. I will continue to use it as I think it's a great product and the price won't break your bank.
