Beauty Haul | Boots

Beauty Haul
I was let loose in Boots on my recent shopping trip and we all know how that ends up... I feel like I got quite a lot of items for my money though! And mostly everything here is affordable on a low budget. I promise you that!

Please, please and please ignore the insane photography - I had no time to get a background ready so I just used the radiator! I've also just been given a white table from my Mam, so I'm delighted to be able to use this as a photography table! It'll save a hell of a lot of dodgy floor pictures in the future... Hehe!

VIVO Cosmetics Haul

This post has been long over due. I had a little splurge on the VIVO Cosmetics website when they had their free shipping and bank holiday half price sales on, many weeks ago. VIVO constantly have little deals on, you should definitely sign up for their newsletter if you're in any way interested.

Eye/Eyebrow products:
I seen the Unprotected 12 Shade Colour Block palette and added it to my basket because it had neutral shades and that's what I usually go for. I wish I had of picked the Dreamy 12 Shade Colour Block palette instead though! I feel the colours are more 'me', than the ones in the Unprotected palette. It won't go to waste though!
I picked up the Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown too, because I love trying new eyebrow pencils and this one had a little brush at the end which is always a nice little touch.
I picked out some False Eyelashes in Full On too, but I've yet to try them out. The were the most natural looking ones at the time.

Face products:
I picked up the Mattifying Loose Powder which is a translucent powder. I can't really get this out of the tub without causing a great mess, so I've not used it as much as I'd of liked to.
I had to add the VIVO Baked Blush in Rouge Shimmer to my basket, which is an absolutely gorgeous shade of blusher. I am loving it at the moment!

Lip products:
As soon as I seen they had Matte Lipsticks I immediately added two of them to my basket. I got Wow Pink and Naturally Nude which are both beautiful shades. Oh, and they smell like coconut!
I also seen they had some Colour Stain Lip Crayons and I was drawn straight away to the Miss Independent one because of its bright orange colour. These really do stain your lips, I remember this wore off my lips one day but the colour was still there, just not as glossy.

Nail products:
I had to add in one of their Nail Varnishes, didn't I? Well I did in my head anyways. I picked up the colour Take Time.

As you can see, I picked up quite a few bits and it all came to under €14! What a bargain! The products are good enough for me, especially at that price. I just don't think you could go wrong.
Unfortunately, a few of these products are sold out at the moment, but hopefully they come back into stock.

Have you tried any VIVO products before?

Sun, Sea and SANDCASTLES! | Santa Ponsa 2013

We're hitting Santa Ponsa/Ballymun in the sun, this June! I'm heading off with 4 of my friends for a week to the sun and I cannot wait! I'm also going to be meeting up with some old friends too, so that'll be a bonus! To be honest, I seriously need a break and this holiday really couldn't have come at a better time!

I've been trying to save but also trying to stock up for holidays. I really don't know what clothes I need to be buying so I keep going out and buying extra! Which is stupid! So I've decided to make note of all the things I want/need and also make a post for you guys. I've made a list of things I want to get.

Spending Ban!

Shocker! It's time to go on a spending ban. I'm off on holidays with a few friends in June and really need to start saving up for that. I'm planning to have at least €500 - €700 by the time I'm leaving. Because I can't really go on a holiday with no money, can I?

Clothes Haul

Hello dolls!
I went shopping three times in the space of 4 days, I'm officially broke!

I rarely go out to buy clothes, I'm more of a beauty, makeup, skincare, nail varnish buyer! But seeing as I'm starting college I decided to buy more clothes and less beauty products, buuuuut.. I still bought both. I'm going to have two hauls, one for clothes and one for beauty!

All of my clothes are from Penneys/Primark, ill just get straight into it!

Blazer | €17
First of all I picked up this black blazer, I was in serious need of one. This one also isn't too heavy so I could wear it on a warm day! I find blazers very smart and professional looking. This one is quite plain, it's black with a line of leopard print going down the middle of the inside, if that even makes sense.. which honestly, I don't understand. No one will see the inside? It also hasn't got much of a design on cuffs except a little line of leopard print. I was disappointed as I'd of loved a design on the cuffs!

Knitted Jumpers | €10 each

When I saw these jumpers I actually fell in love with them. They had gorgeous colours that definitely would catch your eye! I picked out the green and blue ones as these were my favourites. I love the zip at the back, it adds detail to the jumper but not too much, so it's perfect! The only thing with these jumpers I found were they were very small fitted. I got two sizes bigger. The proper size is probably great for you guys, but for me I wanted them a little loose and over sized.

Zip Up Hoodie | €10
I was actually in need of a new hoody and when I saw this one, I knew I had to get it! The colour is so versatile and therefore I can wear it with a lot of things. I also got this a size bigger because I love jumpers to be just a little bit big on me. They also had this in lots of different colours, I just hadn't enough money to buy them. I'm definitely going to get more of these. I love them!

Striped Tank Top | €3.50
This is just a normal striped tank top I picked up, it was only €3.50 so I couldn't resist grabbing it!

Dublin Jersey | €60
My daddy gave me money towards buying this jersey and I was delighted, I've needed one for so long. Dublin were knocked out of the GAA in the semis at the weekend though, boo hoo! Which is really disappointing. At least I'll have this jersey forever now. It's big on me though. It's size small, but it's still like a dress on me!

Lace/Polka dot Top | €11
This was the last top that I picked up! I absolutely LOVE it. It's super cute and looks great tucked in rather than let out. That's just my opinion though! But I think it's very smart looking yet you could definitely get away with this top on a night out. It's fab.

Tan Bag | €9
Well, I've needed a tan bag for ages and I could never find any decent ones, but when I was in Penneys I seen this one and said I may as well get it. For nine euro, you can't go wrong!

Penneys Canvas Shoes/Pumps | €3
As always I got my Penneys shoes. You only, well.. I only get a few wears out of these each time, so I'm lucky they're only three yoyo's!

Penneys Tom/Flossys Copies | €4
I just needed a pair of these!

Other shoes | €2
Yep these were only two euro. Bargain! Just had to grab them!

Thanks for reading! I know this post is LONG over-due! But I've just started college and I'm so busy! But anyways it's here now, so enjoy!

Have you bought any of these items recently? Will you buy any of them? Do you love/hate any? Let me know what you think! :)

Lots of love,

Mini Haul

Over the past two weeks, I've picked up a few bits and bobs. There isn't actually much here! But seeing as I haven't blogged in a while (This is due to illness, I shouldn't even be on the laptop, but sssh!), I thought a 'mini haul' post would be an ideal short little post for me to write and you guys to read. If you want reviews on any of these products or have any questions, let me know!

Paddle Brush | Primark
This paddle brush from Penneys/Primark was only €1.50 or €2. One of them prices anyways! And for this price, can you really go wrong? I love paddle brushes!

Back Comb Brush | Primark
This back-comb brush is also from Primark and it was only €1.50. Though in fairness, I will most likely never use it. But it's always there if I need it!

Australian Skin Care Products | Health Express
I was in my local Health Express and seen a shelf full of these green tubes, ha!  There was shampoo and conditioner as well as these two. They were all on sale and they were running out pretty fast. The two I got were for my face. The one on the left, 'Tea Tree - Exfoliating Facial Wash', was just €2! The 'Tea Tree - Deep Cleansing Facial Mask', was also €2.

Nail Varnish Remover | Cutex | Health Express
This Cutex nail polish remover claims to be nourishing. That, we will see! Anyways, I had to grab this the other day in 'Health Express', as it, was on sale too. There was 25% off and it was only around €1.50. Which, personally, I thought was great!

Essence | Blush Brush | Primark
Primark are now selling Essence products. I can't remember how much I paid exactly for this brush, I think it was around €3 though! Also, I don't use this as a blush brush. I use it for contouring!

Catrice | Gel Eyeliner Brush
I was looking for a gel liner brush, for ages! I seen this one in my local pharmacy and thought I'd try it out. I loved the way it had the angled brush and also a little one for applying your eyeliner. This was between €3 and €5.

My next post will most likely be one on recently bought nail varnishes and make up. That's what I have planned anyways! I'm sorry for the lack of posts, I am quite ill at the moment and I'm hoping to be better soon.
And again, if you want reviews or have any questions about any of these products, let me know! You can e-mail me or comment below or tweet me etc. etc.

Nail art accessories & nail polishes I regret buying.

I am a complete impulse buyer when it comes to buying nail polish. I see a colour that I like and I pick up five extras along with it. I just can't help myself! I love painting my nails and I hate them being bare. I also love nail art, so I buy an endless list of accessories for  decorating my nails. I end up buying way too much and it ends up in the back of my drawer somewhere. In all fairness, most of the nail polishes I have are brilliant and there's only a very, little few that I regret buying. It's quite a long post, so grab your bag of popcorn and take your time! :)

Nail Art - Saffron #04 (Pink) & #06 (Green)

I bought two of these nail art polishes in a shop in Dublin called 'La Chica', in the Ilac Centre.

It's a fabulous shop, with discounted beauty items, a lot cheaper than the exact same products in Boots or other drugstores.
Anyways the reason I don't like these nail art polishes, is because they are very transparent over some base colours, which is really annoying because the brushes on them are so long, (which is also annoying), you can't go over the same line again. Not perfectly anyways. It also strips the nail polish from underneath off. If you chip the nail art polish, that will come off but so will the base colour.
They were only €2 though, so it wasn't too bad. I'm sure I'll get some use out of these!

La Femme Beauty Nail Varnish #132 Ultra Pink

Yes, these two nail polishes were the same colour at one stage! The left one was in a box, which I thought was an okay place to leave your nail polish. Am I wrong? Is it bad to leave it in boxes? Yet the one to the right has also faded quite a lot. But anyways this nail polish is so thick! It takes ages to dry, from what I can remember because I ain't risking putting it on my nails and having it drip all over the place. I used to love the colours because I was fascinated with bright pinks. They also have a really strong smell compared to other nail polishes.
I actually bought these in Spain for €3 each. I'm glad I didn't pay much more for them or I would have been very disappointed. Anyways, seeing as it was in Spain, if you go there and see lots of nail polishes beware of La Femme!

Claires Superspeed Nail Polish (Black) & YES L♥VE #181

So I don't know the Claires nail polish number as this bottle actually exploded on me, but it's the only black one so you should be able to find it. I was so annoyed! It went over lots of my nail polishes and as you can see, the gone off pink above was affected by this! Haha. The brush design is ridiculous, it's way too big and the shape makes it hard to paint near your cuticles. It also takes a very, very long time to dry. You need two coats of it as well as it leaves sort of, I would say streaks, on your nails.
The second one, on the right, is a great nail polish and the only reason I regret buying it is because of the colour.
It's my own fault for not checking what colour it was at the time, I seen it and straight away thought it was a black colour. It does look black, doesn't it? >>
But don't be fooled by #181. It's navy. Not black at all!
I really can't remember the price of these polishes but I would say around the €3 mark.

Hairspray's Nail Polish #S156

I love this nail polish colour, from the bottle. But it is definitely not that colour on your nails. It's literally like water when you put it on. I don't know how many coats I used until I got it opaque. Even then it was just too thick and disgusting. Which is really annoying because I really adore this colour. It's so pretty and girly! As is the bottle, is small and cute and the font is pretty and the butterfly, aww!
I'm really annoyed over this nail polish as I was so excited to try it and wear it but it won't be happening I'm afraid.
I think this was also around the €3 mark!
I might try some different colours in the future,. I do hope it's only this colour that is so watery. But as of now I don't think this polish is for me.

Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails - Xtreme Wear #21 White On

I have always wanted a proper white nail polish, and I thought Sally Hansen would be the one! Unfortunately, it wasn't. It is white and very white at that. The only problem I found with this nail polish is that, while on your nails, it turns yellow after a while! Even with a top coat. I don't know how. Maybe when it dries in it just isn't as white as it was when it was wet? I really don't know. But I was so disappointed with this polish. I really wanted to do some designs but I don't want a gone of white as a base colour. It's also gotten a bit thick over the weeks and harder to apply than other polishes from this brand. I think this was €5.
Does anyone know any good white polishes I can try out?

Essence - Nail Art Magnetics #01 Miracle Shine & the magnet

While on holidays I seen two Essence stands. Yes, two! One was full of make up and the other nail polishes and nail art accessories. I heard a lot a people ranting and raving about the new magnetic nail polishes and I just had to try it for myself. The magnet was around €3 and the polish was around €2.
I was so excited to try this out! But, I was very let down with this product. The nail polish itself is a beautiful colour so that's not too bad. But that magnet and the little magnetic things in the polish, just don't work!
I'm warning you not to buy this as it's brutal & I also found that the little faint lines that it did make, faded after a few seconds to basically nothing.
My friend bought a magnetic nail polish in 'La Chica', the magnet was included in the box & it was around €6 but I have to say, I tried hers and it was amazing compared to this.

Essence - Nail Art - Stampy Set.

I also bought the nail art stamper and at first when I tried this, I thought it was great.. but I realized after the first few goes it wasn't working and I was imagining things. They recommend that you buy the stamp art polish to go with this but I never did. I wish I did though just to try it out and see if it really helps. I will try find it in the future and re-try this stamper set.
Have you tried this before, did it work?

So that was quite a long post and if you're reading this now, thanks a million for reading it all! Let me know if you've tried any of these polishes and how you got on with them!
Also let me know if you want some pictures of these polishes tried out on my nails or anything of the sort. Leave any comments, suggestions or questions below! x
