Barry M | Nail Paint | Wishlist

Doesn't everyone just LOVE Barry M? I definitely do, for nail varnish that is. I tend to pick up a lot of their nail varnish in Boots. They're usually on special offers like 3 for 2 etc. But even when they're not I'll still pick up a new one! Whilst I was browsing through their siteI couldn't resist looking at some polishes.

Essence | Colour & Go | Wishlist

I've decided to do a quick little wishlist because I was just browsing through the internet and ended up popping onto the essence website! Essence is one of my go to brands when I'm broke :'(. But even when I have money, I still spend a lot of it on essence!

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover Review

Hey hey!

I've recently been shopping and I've spent every penny I've had on makeup, beauty, skincare, nail art supplies and clothes.. You know yourself, anything you can pick up! The joys of living with your parents and not having to buy food, hey? Anyways, while I was in Boots, my second home, I picked up the new, well.. few weeks old but AMAZING cult product "Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover". I'm sure most of you know what this is and know before I even say anything, that it's brilliant! I bought this and was expecting great results and to be honest, that's what I got!

For those of you who don't know what this is, it's actually a sponge in a pot soaked with nail varnish remover. It was actually out before (a different brand though!), a good while ago. My Mammy said she used to love not having to use cotton wool, because she hated the feel of it, which is actually a common thing for people, getting wool stuck to the glitter etc. etc. So I think this is a great re-make for a lot of people!

The formula is actually good for your nails! It's acetone and paraben free which is super because acetone is very drying on your nails. It also contains almond oil which is said to moisturise your cuticles! As I paint my nails a lot and I usually changed it at least every one or two days, this is great for me!

The sponge itself is black, so therefore you can't really see any deterioration! I find my sponge tends to move with my finger sometimes, maybe that's just my sponge, or fingers? Also because you can stick your nails down in the pot, there's no polish at the top! And as well as that, the circle in the middle doesn't spread or widen after use, it stays the same!

The only thing I dislike about the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover is the smell you get when you open it. It's so over-powering! I have a crap sense of smell, (really.. REALLY crap) and as soon as I open the pot the smell is so strong, but you get over it after a few seconds. Saying that though, the smell on your nails afterwards is a gorgeous strawberry/fruity smell.

Another thing about it is, it says it removes nail polish in "1 second", this is clearly a lie as you probably guessed. That's just too good to be true! I find it takes at least 5 seconds or more to remove polish. I'd also like to state that this varies from polish to polish and how much of it you have on.

I have also heard that, yes, it does remove glitter polishes after about 30-40 seconds. The only disadvantage of removing your glitter polishes, is that it stays in the sponge, obviously, and the next time you use it, it leaves glitter on your fingers afterwards. But to me that wouldn't be a problem as I wash my hands after using this anyways!

Overall I love this product SO much and I don't think I could live without it anymore! I'll also be experimenting to see if I can refill it after it's gone! I will update you all on that, whenever it's gone, hopefully it's never gone though! :'(

Some pictures of my nails before I used the remover (excuse the messiness, they were rushed!)

The product itself!

And the magic!
Index finger - after 3 turns

after another two

Middle finger - after one turn

after another turn

after another turn

Ring finger - after five seconds

Baby finger - after five seconds

The result! Nothing a cotton pad can't remove!

Have you tried this product before?
Are you going to try it?
What do you think of it?

Another Beauty Wishlist

Hello world! I hope you're all well!

I was in such a blogging mood this week after recovering from being totally ill, I made a few blog posts and scheduled them. So therefore, MORE POSTS! Yay!

I decided to do a wishlist, actually three, maybe. Because I made three different lists of things I wanted in three different categories. Makeup, Clothes and Nail Art Accessories. So I've chose to do a makeup/skincare wishlist as a blog post to share with you all! I'll just get straight into it I guess.

I've actually been looking for a toner for my face for ages now! I seen this on a YouTube beauty guru the other day and she was ranting and raving about it. I really want to try it! Plus it's a Boots brand, but you'd hardly notice it seeing as the icon is so tiny. It's £2.32, around €3, so not so bad! They also have a spritz spray but I think I'll try this one first.

For the brushes that I own (though I am planning on buying a full set soon!), I started cleaning them with oil as it makes them so soft! I also want to use it for nail care AND hair care. You can use baby oil for a lot of things. I think I'd buy the 100ml, rather than the 500ml and see how long I get out of it before realizing I need the 500ml. In Boots this is £1.20 so it'd be around €1.50. You can pick these up in various pound shops as well though!

This is the same price as the baby oil, and I'll also be using it for cleaning my makeup brushes! It's 100ml as well, and you can get it in 300ml too! I find the small travel sizes are handy for carrying around, if I was to go on holidays or anything these sizes are perfect! (Obviously Leanne, 'travel' size?)

Even though this stuff looks nasty, really nasty.. I've heard endless reviews about it and how amazing it is! I don't ever use body scrubs, but I know if I buy this I'll probably never stop using them. Boots actually have a 3 for 2 sale on selected bath products and seeing as I really want to try this I might buy it along with some other random bits and bobs. This is £8 in Boots so probably €10! I hope I get it before the 3 for 2 offer ends because I really am keen to try some other Soap & Glory products.

There has been SO much hype about this new invention of sticking your finger in a hole (of sponge covered in nail varnish remover, thanks very much!) and getting rid of all your nail varnish from your nail in 1second (obviously dramatic, I'd say about 5seconds at least! Do feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.) As soon as I heard about it I had to get it, so Boots here I come! In Boots it's £4.99 so about €6 for me. Unless I can find it in a pound shop, which a LOT of people are saying they have got lately. The one in the pound shops is called 'Twist & Out'.

I seen a fellow blogger, Tor, blog about Miners and I fell in love with the brand straight away! It's kind of like Essence and is a cheaper brand, yet still has amazing quality products! This red colour looks gorgeous and it's only £3.99, about €5 for me. That's a great price for such a beautiful colour.

This pink, is another colour from Miners lipstick range that I looooove. I'm in awe with this new (to me) brand and I'm absolutely dying to try out their products! This lipstick is also £3.99. I find this great that they're this price, as I don't wear too much lipstick because I always think it doesn't suit me. So instead of spending almost €20 on a MAC lipstick, I think it's way better to lose a fiver.

I'm also on the hunt for a brush set. I can't afford any of these €100 sets right now, I don't even have a job. I seen a few sets around town on the markets, but I'm too scared to buy them to be honest. There was one guy selling the whole Bobbi Brown brush range for €35. I was so close to buying it, then said no because if I was ripped of I'd go crazy and most possibly hurt him. Hehe. There was also a brush set for €20 in La Chica, in Dublin. But again, I'm afraid to buy it. I know eventually I'll give in and buy one or the other, but until then, let me know if you guys know any cheap ones I can buy, around Ireland.

Edited just before publishing: I was asking you guys on Twitter if you knew of any brush sets that are cheap yet good quality. A lot of people mentioned 'Real Techniques'. I made the decision that even though these brushes are dear-ish. I'm going to get them anyways. They're worth the price I suppose as they are real and if I look after them, I'll have them a long time. I'm planning on getting two sets which are on sale in Boots. Buy one get one half price! The 'Core Collection' and the 'Starter Set' It's going to cost me about €45 at the most, but I can't wait!

L-Core Collection & R-Starter Set

Last but certainly not least, I'm still looking for a neutral eye shadow palette. In which, I will be purchasing very, very soon. I am going to try get a brush set first though, so I can use it? Haha.

What do you think of these products? Have you tried them before? Will you be trying them soon?
Thanks a mil for reading! Let me know what you think! If you've any comments, suggestions, questions etc. etc. email me, tweet me or leave them below! You know yourselves! :)

Two Week Nail Growth Project

Hello darlings! I was on a big downer this week as I was really ill and literally run down.
Anyways, all my nails broke and I was devastated. I hate my nails being short, as I used to bite them and when they grew long I was so happy! But now that they're all gone, I'm sad again.

I came up with an idea though. I said, since I'm better, I'll take extra good care of them for two weeks. Also I said, I'll take a picture of each hand, every day, for two weeks. Just to see if there's a big difference! Usually I don't notice my nails growing, because I see them every day. Same with my hair!

I actually started this project two days ago and today is the third day. I'll definitely have a blog post up on this when the two weeks are up. I'm hoping I don't forget a day, which I haven't so far! Woo hoo! But if I do it's not that big a deal really. 13/14 ain't so bad! I can't wait to put them all together and see if there's a noticeable difference!

When I'm writing my blog post on this in two weeks, I was thinking of including some nail care tips and a daily care routine. But that's only if my nails do grow in the two weeks!

Also, if anyone wants to try this along with me, go for it! I'd love to see your progress too! Let me know in the comments if you're going to try it!

Thanks a million for reading!

Mini Haul

Over the past two weeks, I've picked up a few bits and bobs. There isn't actually much here! But seeing as I haven't blogged in a while (This is due to illness, I shouldn't even be on the laptop, but sssh!), I thought a 'mini haul' post would be an ideal short little post for me to write and you guys to read. If you want reviews on any of these products or have any questions, let me know!

Paddle Brush | Primark
This paddle brush from Penneys/Primark was only €1.50 or €2. One of them prices anyways! And for this price, can you really go wrong? I love paddle brushes!

Back Comb Brush | Primark
This back-comb brush is also from Primark and it was only €1.50. Though in fairness, I will most likely never use it. But it's always there if I need it!

Australian Skin Care Products | Health Express
I was in my local Health Express and seen a shelf full of these green tubes, ha!  There was shampoo and conditioner as well as these two. They were all on sale and they were running out pretty fast. The two I got were for my face. The one on the left, 'Tea Tree - Exfoliating Facial Wash', was just €2! The 'Tea Tree - Deep Cleansing Facial Mask', was also €2.

Nail Varnish Remover | Cutex | Health Express
This Cutex nail polish remover claims to be nourishing. That, we will see! Anyways, I had to grab this the other day in 'Health Express', as it, was on sale too. There was 25% off and it was only around €1.50. Which, personally, I thought was great!

Essence | Blush Brush | Primark
Primark are now selling Essence products. I can't remember how much I paid exactly for this brush, I think it was around €3 though! Also, I don't use this as a blush brush. I use it for contouring!

Catrice | Gel Eyeliner Brush
I was looking for a gel liner brush, for ages! I seen this one in my local pharmacy and thought I'd try it out. I loved the way it had the angled brush and also a little one for applying your eyeliner. This was between €3 and €5.

My next post will most likely be one on recently bought nail varnishes and make up. That's what I have planned anyways! I'm sorry for the lack of posts, I am quite ill at the moment and I'm hoping to be better soon.
And again, if you want reviews or have any questions about any of these products, let me know! You can e-mail me or comment below or tweet me etc. etc.

W7 #97 'Lava Flow' Nail Polish

I went to town and seen this nail polish, I had to buy it! How easy can already having white in the nail polish be?! VERY EASY, is my answer. It was €2.99, I wasn't really expecting much from it at first but I was delighted with the results. The polish is thick and just perfect, not watery at all! I thought it turned out great in the end and would definitely recommend these polishes to anyone.

I'll show you with pictures how it turned out:

One coat:

Two coats:

As you can see, with this polish you can have it sheer, or opaque! It's your decision. I think it's ridiculously pretty and cute and I have to say, I adore it. For three euro, you cannot go wrong!
The only thing I hate, which is the same for all glitter polishes is, it's very hard to take off. But a bit of nail polish remover and some soakers, you're sorted!

W7 also have two other shades. I think I was mad not to get them! Apparently they have more than these three, but all I have seen is Lava Flow and another two! (I think the other glitter ones are just glitter with no colour in the background? I'm not sure. If you know, make sure to tell me in the comments!)

Here are the ones I have seen, below.

I think the blue one is gorgeous and the white and black one is pretty too. I might just have to make a trip to town soon and buy these! Let me know if you have tried any other W7 polishes!

Have you tried these glitter polishes?
What do you think of the colours?
